¿Cómo se puede contrarestar al marketing masivo?

El acceso a un marketing masivo cada vez se vuelve más difícil para las empresas o instituciones de tamaño pequeño o mediano y más aún para aquéllas dedicadas a la educación, pués los que pudieran ser identificados como “monstruos” del sector, practicamente tienen acaparados los espacios en los medios electrónicos e impresos en que valdría la pena anunciarse y estando ya éllos,  cualquier anuncio pequeños o muy corto, pasaría practicamente desapercibido.Ante ésto, es necesario echar a andar la creatividad y el ingenio para poder captar la atención del mercado objetivo  y además, obtener resultados, dentro de lo que cabe, de manera rápida pués la restricción presupuestal es cada vez mayor tanto para el rubro de la publicidad como de muchas áreas que tienen que ver con la operación eficiente de las instituciones.

Tomando en cuenta la actividad diaria de un individuo desde que amanece hasta que se duerme, el contacto que va teniendo con la publicidad es intenso y constante:  la televisión; la radio; los anuncios espectaculares que va mirando en el camino al trabajo;  los altavoces; los diarios y revistas que se suelen consultar en el día y ahora por supuesto, los distintos anuncios y banners que le van apareciendo al momento de navegar en internet, aunado a los mensajes de corréo electrónico, autorizado o no que constantemente se reciben. Se dice que un consumidor de nuestros tiempos, puede llegar a estar expuesto a más de 2000 mensajes comerciales en un solo día. Y si a ésto le agregamos que la dinámica y la actividad de las nuevas generaciones es cada vez más intensa, la probabilidad de que el consumidor esté ocupado en otra actividad, cualquiera que ésta sea en el momento que el mercadólogo pretenda llamar su atención con un mensaje publicitario, es muy alta.

Así pués, el reto sería entonces lograr que los consumidores consientan en prestarle atención a los mensajes que los mercadólogos pretenden hacerles llegar. Se trata de un paradigma diferente para atacar el mercado y que Seth Godin, el creador de Yoyodine Entertainment, atinadamente le hizo llamar marketing por consentimiento.

¿Qué significa obtener el permiso de aquéllos que estén interesados en tu producto o servicio?

Siempre manteniendo un compromiso con la confidencialidad de la información, de manera muy sutil, habrá que esforzarse por averiguar lo más posible algunas características generales del perfil del interesado en los productos y servicios y sobre todo de sus necesidades y deseos. En vez de mostrarle de inicio la oferta, se comenzaría por solicitar su permiso por anticipado para poderle vender algo en el futuro.

A diferencia de los ofrecimientos convencionales que recibe el consumidor de manera agresiva, el hecho de tomar su consentimiento, destacará considerablemente a la forma de hacer mercadotecnia de la empresa y lo más importante  es que no sentirá, de entrada, una manera de acoso.   Ésto le generará una mayor confianza y aceptación al momento que se le presente abiertamente la oferta con todos los argumentos que hagan constar su seriedad y prestigio.

El objetivo será entonces crear las bases para establecer un verdadero diálogo entre el mercadólogo y el consumidor, que logre eliminar la conversación en un solo sentido como tradicionalmente lo plantea el marketing masivo y que en estos tiempos, suele convertirse en un marketing de interrupciónGodin hace la analogía de este diálogo con el consumidor como una especie de “cita romántica” y nos dice que “cada persona comparte información, tentativamente al principio, con la esperanza de que, con el tiempo, se establezca una relación seria”. ¿Una empresa pequeña puede echar a andar una campaña de marketing por consentimiento?

Es obvio que si en este momento los pequeños emprendedores  no  tuvieran a su alcance muchos de los  avances de la tecnología y en especial el acceso al internet, pero sobre todo a la manera más adecuada de aprovechar  éste con objetivos comerciales y mercadologicos, el establecer un diálogo con el consumidor sería complicado y lento y por ende más ineficiente. La aventura de emprender

Para quienes hemos emprendido proyectos de negocio, contando con muy poco dinero, sin experiencia, sin “padrinazgos” o socios con camino recorrido, sin lugar a dudas que esta iniciativa se convirtió en toda una aventura por demás singular, llena de satisfacciones, pero también de incertidumbre y amenazas, con un alto componente de adrenalina.  Sin embargo, desde el contexto que se mire la iniciativa de emprender un negocio, independientemente del tamaño del mismo y de los recursos con que se cuente, nos sitúa en un momento emocionante, de gran creatividad, de generación de ideas y casi siempre con un desbordado optimismo.  Este es un comportamiento natural  que precisamente requerimos para mantener vivo nuestro ímpetu emprendedor.

La aventura de tu vida…

Seguramente que en algún momento de tu vida has planeado el viaje a aquel lugar que siempre habías soñado conocer. Simplemente el hecho de visualizarte llegando a dicho lugar por primera vez y constatar con tu propia vista el paisaje que te platicaron o habías visto solamente en fotografías y películas,  te hará contar con una emoción muy especial con la cuál sacarás energía para destinarle tiempo en cualquier momento libre a tu actividad de planeación que te conducirá a tu objetivo.

Los negocios, al igual que los viajes, hay que “desearlos” y hay que visualizarlos y si es posible, comenzar a disfrutarlos aún antes de emprenderlos. Con ésto, contarás con un motor fundamental para que des los pasos necesarios para definir de manera más clara tu proyecto, lo eches a andar, enfrentes situaciones inesperadas, las resuelvas y lo más importante: no le pierdas cariño a algo que con tantas ganas y en muchas ocasiones con tanto sacrificio emprendiste.

¿Crees que valdría la pena amargarse un viaje tan anhelado a Europa cuando al comienzo del mismo te roban el pasaporte y tu tarjeta de crédito?. Por supuesto que esta situación para nada la tenías prevista en tu plan de viaje, sin embargo. ¿Qué harías al respecto?. ¿Te sentarías en una banca de un parque a maldecir el momento en que decidiste hacer tu viaje?. ¿Sería justo que esta situación imprevista te impidiera disfrutar todos los lugares que previamente habías soñado con conocer?. Seguramente que verías la manera de encontrar la solución más adecuada  al problema.Y más aún si estuvieras solo. Te aseguro que si en ese momento piensas en todo lo que te perderías de disfrutar, si no recuperas tus documentos y no puedes contar con dinero, la inspiración te va a invadir y verás la manera de contar de nuevo con lo perdido. Irás a la embajada; a la sucursal de banco que te volviera a emitir tu tarjeta, llamarías a algún amigo o familiar a México y en fin, no te quedarías con los brazos cruzados y tomarías el avión de vuelta a tu país.

La aventura de emprender tu propio negocio es algo muy similar al sueño anhelado de realizar tu viaje a Europa. Parientes y conocidos me han manifestado en pláticas informales su deséo de ser independientes o autoemplearse, :  ”Solamente trabajo el resto del año, cobro mi liquidación y estaré listo para emprender un buen negocio, algo que siempre he querido, pués ya estoy harto de estar trabajando para otro…”,  suelen decirme. Efectivamente, sueñan con su propio negocio, lo cuál es muy válido y necesario para aventurarse en un emprendimiento, pero,  ¿en verdad estarán dispuestas estas personas a mantenerse firmes, con imaginación y optimismo, en momentos de  situaciones adversas?,  que por cierto es  muy común que se sucedan y más aún,  ¿podrán evitar que se apague su ímpetu emprendedor y no puedan proseguir   la aventura de su vida?.

La importancia de definir claramente un objetivo

Seguramente que al iniciar aquel viaje anhelado, no te subiste al avión hacia algún destino y entonces allá, confiaste en tu intuición que te dijo en ese momento hacia donde dirigirte, sin tiempo definido y sin saber la distancia que tenías que recorrer. Aunque quizá has conocido a aventureros dispuestos a hacer eso y aún más, el común denominador de la gente que viaja ya lleva definido un plan, por sencillo y flexible que este pudiera ser. Lo increible es que al trasladarlo al contexto de los negocios y principalmente al de los emprendedores novatos,  podemos encontrar verdaderas historias de arrojo, dignas de atribuirselas al trotamundos más atrevido. No cuentan con el más elemental plan. Todo lo van resolviendo por intuición; en el mejor de los casos escuchan a gente cercana, también sin experiencia y  menos sin estar  involucradas con la problemática que enfrentan, les dicen que hacer, pero les dicen mal. Sin embargo, la mayoría de las veces no escuchan y tarde o temprano los invade  la desesperación, se va apagando el ímpetu emprendedor y terminan  engrosando las filas de aquellos nuevos negocios que no completan siquiera un año de operación. Se trata de una historia recurrente que no descrimina nacionalidad, raza ni  preparación académica del que se dice  ”emprendedor”.

Una manera de minimizar considerablemente el fracaso prematuro de un negocio que se emprende es definir, como paso número uno,  lo que significa desarrollar un negocio de éxito y preguntarte:  ¿Qué características creo que definirían  a mi negocio como exitoso?. En general, las características de un negocio para que realmente se considere exitoso, están muy claramente definidas. Lo importante  es que tu  idéa de un negocio exitoso, en verdad coincida con lo que realmente  es y que les ha funcionado a todos aquellos emprendedores que se han han distinguido sobre los demás y que en algunos casos han perdurado.
